Suzuki DR-Z400S — $6,599 MSRP
The 2016 Suzuki DR-Z400S is the most impressive off-road performer in the Suzuki Dual Sport lineup with the versatility to be used on tough trail rides or trips to town and back. A liquid-cooled 398cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine produces a respected mix of torque along with commuter-friendly fuel economy. The suspension is tuned to deliver a comfortable ride over rocks, roots and rough roads. Long-travel cartridge forks allow adjustment for compression/rebound damping and preload. The rear shock uses progressive linkage and adjustable compression/rebound damping for superior comfort and control. The rugged DR-Z400S runs an off-road friendly 21-in front/18-inch rear wheel combination with DOT-approved dual sport knobby tires.

The 2016 Suzuki DR650S is a reliable and versatile performer that’s ready for anything, from potholed city streets to dense wooded trails. This Dual Sport is powered by a reliable, air-cooled 645cc single-cylinder four-stroke with more than enough pull to get up the hills or cruise at highway speeds. With inverted cartridge front forks, plus a rear shock with piggyback style reservoir and adjustable compression damping, the DR650S offers a comfortable and confident ride. Disc brakes front and rear add to the performance features. The DR650S’ seat height can be lowered by more than 1.5 inches, helping riders tailor the bike to their preference (using a Suzuki Accessory side-stand kit).

Suzuki V-Strom 650 ABS — $8,399 MSRP
The V-Strom’s light and rigid twin-spar aluminum-alloy frame and swingarm contribute to smooth handling performance and excellent stability at freeway speeds. Up front, 43mm stanchion-tube front forks are spring preload adjustable, and the rear features a link-type suspension with rebound damping adjustment as well as a hand-operated spring preload adjuster. It runs on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear radial tires mounted to light and strong three-spoke cast wheels. ABS-equipped disc brakes front and rear deliver smooth, controllable stopping power, and expansion-resistant high-pressure brake hoses enhance the responsive brake feel.
The V-Strom 650 ABS returns this year without change except for a $150 price drop and new colors — Candy Daring Red, Metallic Mystic Silver.

The 2016 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 ABS is primed and ready for adventures, whether it be a multi-day journey across the country or a commute to work. A fuel-injected, 1037cc 90-degree V-twin engine is tuned for incredible low-end and mid-range torque, so you can tap into thrilling acceleration in every gear. Twin Iridium spark plugs ignite the fuel-air mixture to provide impressive power and efficient fuel consumption. An advanced Traction Control System helps riders control power output with confidence over a variety of riding surfaces.
At 503 pounds wet, the V-Strom 1000 ABS is one of the lightest adventure bikes in the liter class. Standard ABS monitors wheel speeds 50 times per wheel rotation to match stopping power to the available traction.
